Division of Human Resource Development with Advanced Research promotes a tenure-track system for HR of faculty members.
The Division promotes the tenure-track system, which started in FY2007, for young researchers in order to recruit faculty who can promote global collaborative research.
Young faculty members recruited under tenure-track system will belong to this division. POIE provides support for research activities and improvement of research environment where young researchers with creative and inventive research ideas can expand their ideas and conduct their research in independent manners.
Kumamoto University Tenure Track Project
Tenure-track system in Kumamoto University has started in FY2007 after selected for “Improvement of Research Environment for Young Researchers (Program Name “Institutional Reforms for Creating a Personnel Support System for Creative Young Researchers”) “, a program sponsored by Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology(MEXT). Tenure-track system is HR system which young researchers are given the fixed term of employment to gain experiences as researchers before they go through a strict evaluation for the positions with tenure system.
Through the implementation of tenure truck system, Kumamoto University has been promoting to cultivate faculty members and researchers who will be global-class research leaders. Based on the past achievements, Kumamoto University has been selected for a start-up project of MEXT “Program to Disseminate Tenure Track System” since FY2012.
